Dameon Rey Marmolejo, 20, of Lubbock was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center late Thursday morning.Marmolejo was wanted for the beating of Solidad Torres, 18.
Torres she has had trouble sleeping for the past two months knowing he was still in Lubbock, and not found. Her family is thankful for crime tips from the community and help from the U.S. Marshals, The Sheriff’s Office, and the Lubbock Police Department for tracking him down.
“I close my eyes and I can hear myself screaming, I walk through the house and I look and the bathroom and think ‘wow that happened here,'”
Torres said Marmolejo was her boyfriend two months back, and he came to her house when her Mom wasn’t home and slammed her head into a bath tub, and proceeded to beat her when he found out she downloaded snap chat.
“Yes he is caught but mentally it’s still here, it’s in the back of my head,” Torres.
The amount of Marmolejo’s bond was not yet listed in online jail records.
