The following is a news release from the Lubbock Police Department:
At approximately 0944 this morning, LPD patrol officers were dispatched to 84th and Avenue N to assist the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office was on-scene with a suspicious vehicle they had received a call about. When the Sheriff’s Office arrived, they located the vehicle with a male inside. The male inside appeared to have suffered injuries and was pronounced deceased on-scene. Other information gathered at the scene indicated that the incident originated inside the Lubbock city limits. Based on that information, the Lubbock Police Department took over the investigation at that time.
At this time, Detectives with Persons Crimes are investigating.
