Emergency crews were dispatched Sunday evening after reports an individual was shocked in Slaton.
The incident was reported in the 400 block of North 13th Street around 7:50 p.m.
UMS EMS told EverythingLubbock.com a crew was dispatched to Slaton after an individual was struck by lightning. As of Sunday night at 10 p.m. UMC tells us that patient is in critical condition.
The victim was being transported ambulance to University Medical Center in Lubbock.
Slaton Fire sent a truck to the scene of the incident and explained that some members of Slaton Fire were sent to Lubbock with the patient. They added that the electrocution happened at a city playa lake in a public park area.
