Alejandro Garcia-Izazaga, 28, of Lubbock; Patricia Hernandez-Salas, 48, of Lubbock; and Anthony Wayne Reiley, 49, of Lubbock all accepted plea agreements in federal court this week related to trafficking methamphetamine.

Court records said Garcia-Izazaga, also known as Flaco, was running a “large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation operating in Lubbock…”

Federal agents knew about it in March and they intercepted communications between Garcia-Izazaga and Reiley.  Both men were under surveillance in July when they took a trip to Austin in Reiley’s vehicle.  They were pulled over for speeding near Slaton on the way back from Austin.  A Lubbock County Sherriff’s Deputy found 2,963.6 grams of methamphetamine.

As part of the same drug-trafficking operation, Hernandez-Salas was found separately with 27.4 grams of methamphetamine.

If a judge approves the plea agreements, Garcia-Izazaga and Reiley face no less than 10 years in federal prison and no more than life.  Hernandez-Salas faces between five and 40 years.

Ivan Cruz-Martinez, and Zacarias Blanco-Olea also pleaded guilty this week in the same criminal case.

They will all be sentenced at a later date.
