During his seven-year appointed tenure at Texas Tech, as Chief of Staff and Vice Chancellor, Jodey Arrington never lifted a finger in opposition to illegal immigrants receiving in-state tuition, while academic costs for Texas families rose by over 50%. Official documents show an alarming rate of growth of illegal immigrants receiving in-state tuition during Jodey Arrington’s time at Tech, but no evidence whatsoever of Jodey Arrington publicly opposing in-state tuition for illegals.
“For seven years Jodey Arrington chose to side with pro-amnesty, pro-in-state tuition politicians and against the overwhelming majority of West Texans who oppose giving taxpayer-funded benefits to illegal immigrants,” said Glen Robertson. “Confronted with his failed record on illegal immigration, Arrington is doing what they taught him to do while he was in Washington DC – blame others, hide behind former colleagues, and falsely attack your opponent.”
“I think it’s telling that in his 500 word press release defending his failed record, given another opportunity to do so Jodey Arrington still refused to publicly oppose giving in-state tuition to illegal immigrants,” Robertson concluded.
