A Texas Tech student tried to show her school spirit when she saw a fellow Red Raider. Instead, she was questioned by TSA and had a tweet go viral.
According to Buzzfeed, Diana Durkin, a 19-year-old sophomore at Texas Tech, was in a security line at William P. Hobby Airport in Houston.
When Durkin saw someone wearing a Texas Tech sweatshirt, she could not help but put her guns up, she told Buzzfeed.
Not only did the man give Durkin a strange look, but a Transportation Security Administration agent also questioned her.
“(The agent) said, ‘What are you doing? You can’t do that in an airport,'” Durkin told Buzzfeed.

Durkin said TSA let her go with a warning. Her tweet has garnered more than 3,000 retweets and 38,000 likes within five days.
Texas Tech got in on the fun as well by responding to the Buzzfeed article on Thursday afternoon.
Sorry @TSA, sometimes we just can’t hide our excitement at seeing a fellow #RedRaider! 👆 https://t.co/zdLVNK0BKH #IAmARedRaider pic.twitter.com/0RdzqIut6A— Texas Tech (@TexasTech) January 11, 2018
