The Texas Tech Lady Raiders dropped a heartbreaker to No. 19/20 Oklahoma, 64-56, on Saturday evening
Texas Tech (11-13, 3-10 Big 12) opened with a fast-paced first quarter, outscoring Oklahoma (20-6, 10-3 Big 12) 20-14. The Lady Raiders knocked down four threes in the first period alone.
The Lady Raiders took a 33-22 lead into intermission after holding the Sooners to just eight points, the second lowest in a quarter this season.
Coming out of the half, Oklahoma forced seven Tech turnovers and outscored the Lady Raiders, 24-11, to regain the lead.
Oklahoma kept their foot on the gas and held on to the lead to the end.
Three Lady Raiders scored in double figures for the second straight game. Junior guard Dayo Olabode led the team with 15 points as she shot 100 percent from the field (6-for-6) and went 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
Freshman Arella Guirantes followed with 11 points, marking her 12th double-digit game of the season. Brittany Brewer scored 10 points for the Lady Raiders. The game marked her sixth double figure game of the season.

The Lady Raiders travel to Ames, Iowa, for the final meeting with Iowa State on Wednesday, Feb. 14. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
