A weak cold front will move in late Wednesday & early Thursday morning. That will drop morning temperatures down to the upper 30s Thursday morning, with wind at 10-15 mph. So, things will feel more like the low 30s. Bundle up! The afternoon is looking to remain warm, but not as warm as earlier in the week. Lubbock’s high will reach 66°, which is still well above average. The cooler air will only last for one day.

By the end of the week, skies will remain sunny & we’ll be seeing very warm conditions. Of course, when it’s warm this time of year, the wind has to be blowing. Sustained wind is going to be at 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph at times. With more sunshine & the wind shifting to the southwest, Lubbock’s high is going to reach 81°. The record high is 84°, so we will be close to tying that on Friday.
