LUBBOCK, Texas–Xcel Energy hosts formal dedication for new Hale Wind Project. The 478-megawatt wind farm is south of Plainview near Petersburg. Landowners consider this a major milestone since they have been working since 2008 to attract wind farms to the county. This wind farm is also significant for Xcel Energy because it’s the first built and owned in the company’s Texas-New Mexico service area.
