Mother’s Day is this Sunday and it will be a great day for all of the moms out there. The morning will begin with quiet weather and lows in the upper 50s. The wind will stay at 10-15 mph all day long. We’ll experience mostly sunny skies in the afternoon, with very warm air. In fact, Lubbock’s high is forecast to be 90°. So, stay safe while spending time outdoors on Sunday.
The next work and school week is going to begin with lows only into the low 60s Monday morning. That is well above average for this time of year. Skies will stay mostly sunny that afternoon. Lubbock’s high will make it to 89°, but there is going to be isolated storms in the area. Coverage will only be 10%, so most will stay dry. Throw an umbrella in the car, just in case you see a storm on Monday afternoon.
