The 5th annual Lubbock Lemonade Day is taking place on Saturday, May 6, at stands all across the Hub City.
“The event is empowering tomorrow’s entrepreneurs by teaching them to start, own and operate their very own business – a lemonade stand,” a news release stated.
This year’s theme is ‘Turning Lemons into Gold.”
Organizers are encouraging Lubbockites and Texas Tech University students to buy three glasses of lemonade each, to increase the the demand to keep pace with the increased supply.
The public is also reminded to drive safely as thousands of young entrepreneurs will be out and about on Saturday.
