There will be partly cloudy skies overnight, which is going to help keep low temperatures up into the low 50s in the area. The clouds will break apart tomorrow afternoon, as we’ll be under mostly sunny skies. The wind will shift to the south, so we’ll get higher temperatures by the afternoon, as well. Lubbock’s high will get up to 86°, with wind at 20-30 mph, gusting to 40 mph. So, the wind is going to be the big problem tomorrow.

The warm air will stick around as we round out the week on Friday. Morning lows will only drop into the mid 50s, thanks to the partly cloudy skies and wind at 10-20 mph overnight. The afternoon will, once again, see mostly sunny skies. The wind stays from the south at 10-15 mph, so highs will make it up into the mid 80s again. With the lighter wind, it will actually feel closer to the high Friday, so enjoy the warm air.
