Construction crews are scheduled to continue work on the US 84 bridge, at Frankford Avenue, next week. An operation to pour the bridge’s concrete deck is planned for Monday, April 24, beginning at 9 p.m. and continuing into the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 25. The work will require the westbound US 84 lanes to be closed to traffic.
All westbound traffic will be detoured around the construction area via south Slide Road, to Erskine Avenue and then north on Frankford Avenue to reconnect with US 84. The road is expected to reopen before the morning rush hour.
Crews will then continue the overnight work on Thursday, April 27. The operation is schedule to begin at 9 p.m., and continue into Friday, April 28, morning. Westbound US 84, again, will be closed to traffic to allow crews to safely complete the operation.
Drivers are urged to pay attention to all signs, barricades and traffic control devices, and to reduce their speed as they approach work zones for their safety and the safety of the workers.
Eastbound US 84 will not be affected. The work and lane closures will take place weather permitting.
