Once again, clear skies are seen over the area this morning. A cold front is working its way through right now. It’s currently located in Lamb County, moving southeast. This will drop temperatures after sunrise to the upper 50s and low 60s. This afternoon will see mostly sunny skies, with a high of 76°. The wind today will be from the east-northeast at 10-20 mph.
Behind the cold front, we’ll begin Friday at 55°. So, this one is not really that cold at all. In fact, we’re going to see a warm afternoon tomorrow. Skies will be sunny, with the wind from the south at 20-25 mph, gusting to 35 mph. That south wind is going to elevate high temperatures. We’re going to reach a high of 86° here in Lubbock. However, another cold front is on our doorstep and will begin moving into the area tomorrow evening.
