The Texas Tech men’s track & field team is ranked No. 8 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) computer rankings.

This upward trend is owed to three standout performances this past weekend in Fort Worth.

Charles Brown and Justin Hall executed long jumps that made them both top-five in the nation.

Brown continues to top the NCAA Division I ranks at No. 1 with his new best-length of 8.25m/27-1, a five-inch lead over his closest competitor.

Justin Hall’s No. 5 ranked 8.01m/26-3.50 jump is a massive improvement from his previous best jump of 7.59m/24-11 from Texas Relays.

Darien Tennon, Andrew Hudson, Trevin Chambers and Divine Oduduru produced a 4×100 relay run of 39.40 that serves as the No. 4 all-time school mark.

This weekend the team will travel to Waco, Texas, for the Michael Johnson Invitational on Saturday, April 22.
