Former Texas Tech football coach Tommy Tuberville has not yet officially confirmed that he is running for Governor of Alabama. However, according to al.com, the handwriting is on the wall – or perhaps better stated, the handwriting is on official documents Tuberville filed.

“The head of the state’s Republican party indicated the former Auburn football coach is all in,” al.com reported on Monday.
“Tuberville has filed two reports with the Alabama Secretary of State’s office,” al.com said. “The first is the formation of a principal campaign committee with Tuberville as its only member and the second is a financial disclosure form revealing a loan of $100,000 Tuberville made to himself to start a campaign.”
Last week, Tuberville said publicly he was contemplating a run to help the people of Alabama.
From 2010 – 2012, Tuberville coached Texas Tech with an overall record of 20 wins and 17 losses.
Public speculation over a Tuberville campaign started in February when the state’s Republican chairwoman hinted that such a thing was possible.
