Lubbock Challenger Little League begins it’s 26th Season on Saturday, April 1st at Challenger Field in McAlister Park at Marsha Sharp and Milwaukee.

Opening Day Ceremonies include a giant “Fun-Fair” with face painting, helicopters, firetrucks, games and goodies beginning at 9am.  At 10am, all players and volunteers will take the field for introductions and fanfare, followed by the ceremonial “first pitch” and game one of our 26th season.

As some of you know, Challenger started out as a vision of having baseball for those in our community who struggle with physical and/or mental disabilities.  Many of you have been involved over the years, through getting the word out to those who want to play, participating in a game or doing stories…making Challenger Little League Baseball come to life.  Year one, we had 4 kids. That’s all, just 4. Thanks to your support, we have grown to nearly 200 players and hundreds more buddys, coaches, volunteers and supporters.  We thank you for all you have done in helping our league grow.
