We’ll begin to see the warmer air by the end of the week & for your weekend. Friday, the wind is going to increase to 10-15 mph, so that is basically normal. But, the afternoon is going to see sunny skies, with highs in the mid 60s once more. But, the Rolling Plains will reach 70° in some spots. This is certainly a great way to kick off the weekend.
Saturday is going to see clouds coming back to west Texas, but the sun will still dominate. The clouds will give some breaks from the sunshine. The wind will be from the southwest at 10-15 mph, so highs will be much higher than earlier in the week. Lubbock will make it to 71°, with mid 70s off the Caprock. We’ll even see warmer air by Sunday & into Monday afternoon.
