LUBBOCK, Texas — Around 11:50 Sunday night, Lubbock Police Department responded to the 2000 block of 9th street to reports of a shooting.
Officers located 20-year-old, Trey Adams, with an apparent gun shot wound.
Adams was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators have identified several people involved but no arrests have been made.

(PRESS RELEASE) — The Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is investigating a Sunday night fatal shooting at the Cottages of Lubbock apartment complex.
Just before midnight on Sunday, Lubbock police officers responded to the apartment in the 2000 block of 9th Street for reports of shots fired. Officers located 20-year-old Trey Adams near a parking lot with life threatening injuries and immediately began first-aid until EMS arrived. Adams was taken to UMC and was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators with the Metro Special Crime Unit arrived on scene to immediately begin an investigation into the shooting. Based on the initial investigation, detectives have reason to believe that this was not a random act of violence and that the involved parties knew one another. No arrests have been made.
