Happy Thursday everyone! Temperatures were about 10 degrees warmer today and the warming trend is expected to continue through Saturday with highs moving back into the 70’s by tomorrow afternoon. Sunshine will be abundant over the next few days but big changes are expected on Sunday as another low pressure system moves across the area. We are anticipating the chance for a slight chance for severe storms on Sunday with small to moderate sized hail being the biggest threat at this time. We are also expecting heavy rain and therefore localized flooding and low visibilities across the South Plains so travel with caution during the second half of the weekend. This storm system will clear out quickly and we will see a clearing by late Monday morning. Temperatures will drop briefly into the mid-60’s on Sunday but will return to the 70’s by next Tuesday.
