Lubbock Police said officers arrested Trey Kimbrell, 26, at about 4:45 a.m. Friday for burglary of a building, theft, resisting arrest and previous warrants.

Officers were called to Cash America Pawn Shop, 1510 50th Street, for a burglary alarm.

“When the officers arrived, they found the glass and metal cage of a window broken,” police said.  “They spotted a man running through the store while taking off what looked like body armor.”

Police also said, “[Officers] found the locks had been cut from the gun cabinets. Multiple rifles had been removed and placed in a bag.”

Kimbrell refused to comply, according to police.  Eventually officers got him into handcuffs.  Kimbrell was not yet listed in jail records as of Friday morning.
