Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury announced Saturday that running backs coach DeShaun Foster has accepted another coaching opportunity. In addition, Kingsbury also announced that offensive line coach Lee Hays will not return to the program for the 2017 season.
“We appreciate all that Coach Foster and Coach Hays have done for our football program,” Kingsbury said. “We wish them nothing but the best moving forward.”
Foster just completed his first season tutoring the Red Raider running backs. According to multiple reports, Foster has accepted the same position at his alma mater, UCLA.
Hays, meanwhile, arrived in Lubbock as part of Kingsbury’s inaugural staff soon after his hire in 2013.
