The clouds wanted to hang around the area on Tuesday, so we did not make it into the 70s. We still had above average highs & that warming trend continues today. The skies will clear out & will be mostly sunny. That will allow for the air to really warm up this afternoon. The record high in Lubbock is 76°. We will be on our way to a new record high, as we’ll reach 77°. Wind will be at 10-15 mph this afternoon.
A weak cold front will pass through the area tonight & into tomorrow morning. That will not really do too much for west Texas. Skies will remain mostly sunny for the day tomorrow. Highs will only drop into the mid & upper 60s. So, temperatures will stay above average. The good news is that the wind will be light, so it will be a good day to get outdoors. Which you’ll want to do, because the weather won’t let you over the weekend.
