Are you a fan of South Plains politics? Here are your Talking Points for this week.

There is not enough tax revenue to come close to paying for everything Texans need.  There’s also not enough political power to go around. In two days we’ll once again welcome the Texas Legislature. On today’s show, we’ll look at the drama before the drama.

The 115th session of the United States Congress is already off and running. For the first time since 2002, Randy Neugebauer wasn’t their to join them following his retirement. The South Plains and the Big County have welcomed his successor Jodey Arrington to the seat. Mr. Neugebauer visited the Talking Points studio to talk about us what’s going on behind the scenes in Washington and his replacement.

Our political reporters Wes Rapaport and Anna Wiernicki were in Washington last week for Arrington’s swearing in and to catch up with other Texas lawmakers.

Talking Points with Bryan Mudd airs each Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. and Sunday evenings at 11:05 p.m.
