Happy Wednesday everyone! It has been a cloudy and warm day across the South Plains and by late this afternoon we will see a dry backdoor cold front push into the region. This will bring some gusty winds to the area this evening and cause temperatures to drop into the low 50’s on Thursday and Friday. We will see a slight chance for precipitation on Friday midday but it will clear out quickly, leaving us with nice conditions for your holiday weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be sunny and breezy with temperatures rebounding back into the upper 50’s and low 60’s. There will be one more small chance for showers on Sunday evening but otherwise we are expecting a sunny first week of 2017!
