The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) played Santa for the Lubbock State Assisted Living Center on Wednesday.

They delivered more than 100 gifts to residents. This is the third year DPS employees at the Lubbock Regional Office have partnered with the living center to provide gifts for residents.

Sandra Anderson, the Director of Community Relations at the Assisted Living Center in Lubbock, said the residents are always excited.

“The department of public safety take a whole round of ornaments or gifts for the individuals that live here- it’s like 200 gifts they buy ranging from $15 to $30 a piece.”

The Claus family also made time for some last minute requests.
