The Texas Department of Public Safety said one person was killed in a crash Thursday morning in Midland County.
DPS said Donald F. McCracken, 56, of Gardendale was pronounced dead at the scene.
DPS said McCracken was driving a pickup truck east on County Road 160 at the intersection with Farm to Market Road 1379. A semi-truck was going north on FM 1379.
DPS said McCracken’s pickup “disregarded the stop sign” at the intersection. DPS said the semi-truck hit the pickup truck.
DPS said it was cloudy but dry and the posted speed limit was 55 miles per hour. DPS also said Mr. McCracken was not wearing a seat belt.
