A 44-year-old Wichita Falls man is charged with stalking and other charges related to threats and violence against a woman who was once in a relationship with him.
Robert Lee Venegas has bonds totaling more than $60,000. The woman obtained a protective order in September and police first went to the woman’s home on Collins Avenue on September 24th.
She said Venegas broke a bedroom window and damaged the air conditioner. The victim said Venegas returned a few hours later and threw a cast iron pan through the same window she had fixed.
From then through October and into November police investigated about a dozen more cases, including Venegas playing love songs under her bathroom window and leaving a note written on a McDonald’s sack.
Throwing brass knuckles and shattering her car window and then striking her, banging on her windows and doors, driving by and yelling at her and threatening to harm any men she might be with. Also following and swerving at her car numerous times.
When questioned by police several times, they say Venegas said he loved her and couldn’t stay away and also said she was luring him to come see her, then calling police.
