Abilene Police were called for the report of a shooting at an apartment in the 2800 Block of South 25th Street Saturday at 11:00 p.m.

Police found a 19-year-old man with gunshot wounds outside the apartment.

“Gunshots were fired between at least two subjects,” police said on Monday. “The male victim, who was hit multiple times, was transported to the hospital by private auto.”

“Detectives located over $10,000 in cash, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia and a stolen firearm in the apartment,” police said. “Witnesses are being uncooperative with the investigation.”

Police arrested Emmanuel Mims, 19, for theft of a firearm and possession of marijuana.  Kimberly Owens, 20, was arrested for the same charges.  Both were released on $7,500 bond Sunday.

Police said Owens and Mims lived at the apartment where the shooting occurred. Police did not describe the current condition of the gunshot victim.
