Veteran’s Day is November 11th. It is an annual American holiday honoring military and those who have served. Also, November is Military Family Appreciation month. As such, this year in Lubbock, an inaugural parade will be held to honor our West Texas Veterans and Military Families on Saturday, November 12, 2016! The event is proudly organized by Los Hermanos Familia an organization committed to strengthening families, and building community. 

The Veteran’s Day Parade will pay tribute to Veteran’s and Military families, and all that have served in Lubbock.

The 2016 theme is: “Honoring All Who Served” – Participants are encouraged to pay tribute to Veterans and all who have served the community. Veterans, their family members, businesses, advocates, organizations, marching bands, and all advocates are encouraged to participate.

Set-Up 9 a.m. Start Up at 10 a.m.

Route: Begins at First Baptist Church at Broadway and Avenue W, moves east on Broadway to Avenue M, then north on Ave. M to Lubbock Memorial Civic Center parking lot.

NOTE: All vehicles must be insured.

Fees to this event help offset insurance and logistics cost, as well as benefit the annual Veteran’s Reception, and other family programs that advocate for Veterans.
