LUBBOCK, Texas – Seven people were transported to the hospital after a collision between a Citibus and a pickup truck early Wednesday afternoon.
The accident was reported just after noon in the area of University Avenue and the Marsha Sharp Freeway.
According to a news release from the Lubbock Police Department, the bus was traveling northbound on University Avenue and attempted to turn westbound onto the Marsha Sharp Freeway frontage road.
Police said a southbound pickup truck then collided with the bus.
All five occupants on the bus were taken by ambulance to the hospital.
The driver and a passenger in the truck were also transported by ambulance to the hospital.
A spokesman for University Medical Center told EveythingLubbock.com that six of the accident victims were brought to their facility.
All injuries were reported to be minor to moderate.
