Albert Isaiah Christopher, 39, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being captured on Monday in Dallas. Christopher was wanted for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements and probation violation. The arrest was the result of a tip, and a reward up to $3,000 will be paid.
Working off tip information, members of the U.S. Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including Department of Public Safety Special Agents, located and arrested Christopher without incident at an apartment complex in north Dallas.
In November 2011, Christopher was convicted of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child after incidents in Dallas County involving two girls, ages 10 and 12. He subsequently was sentenced to seven years of probation. He had been wanted since January 2014. So far in 2016, DPS and other agencies have arrested 18 Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders – including 11 sex offenders and eight gang members – and $39,500 in rewards have been paid for tips that resulted in arrests.
