During the day on Thursday, we’ll see cooler air in the South & Rolling Plains. Lubbock will reach a high of only 65°, below our average of 69°. The showers & storms will begin to taper off by sunrise, but not be totally out of the area. Spotty showers will be leftover during the day, only at 10%. So, most locations will be dry, but cooler on Thursday afternoon.

Friday is certainly going to be feeling much like we should for the first Friday in November. Our high will actually be lower than on Thursday, as we will reach 63°. That means that the air will be quite chilly for those high school football games on Friday night, so dress warm! There will be leftover showers in the area, only at 10% & mainly to the west of Lubbock. It should not affect the football games that night.
