We’re looking at clear skies to start off this day all around the area. There will be patchy areas of fog through 9:00-10:00. Something to keep in mind as you head out the door today. You’ll also notice that muggy feeling in the air. Temperatures & dew points are close together, which is why it feels muggy. The rest of the day will remain sunny & warm, with a high temperature of 82°.

We’ll begin to see the warm-up by tomorrow afternoon. High pressure is going to be moving in from the southwest & will sit over the area through the weekend. This is going to keep things sunny, warm & dry. For Lubbock, on Friday, we’ll see the wind during the day at 10-15 mph from the southwest. That will allow for the high to get up to 83°. We’ll see upper 80s in some places in the Rolling Plains, with upper 70s & low 80s off to the west.
