Skies will remain sunny on Wednesday afternoon. A ridge of high pressure will briefly set up, so things will be calm, but breezy in the afternoon. The wind is going to stay at 10-15 mph, but highs will be lower than Tuesday. Lubbock is going to see a high of 84°, with highs closer to 90° in the Rolling Plains. This warmer air will be out of the area by Thursday, thanks to a cold front.

That cold front will move its way through the South & Rolling Plains during the day. Lubbock will only see a high of 70°, which is a huge difference than the day on Wednesday. There will be isolated showers & thunderstorms at 10%, generally east of Lubbock in the Rolling Plains in the afternoon. So, just have an umbrella in the car, just to be safe.
