The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is scheduled to close Upland Avenue, at US 62/82 (Marsha Sharp Freeway), to overnight traffic Tuesday, Oct. 11, and into Wednesday, Oct. 12 morning. The closure will allow crews to safely pour the concrete bridge deck on the new Upland bridge.
Beginning at 7:30 p.m., both Upland Avenue and eastbound Marsha Sharp Freeway motorists will not have access to the intersection. Eastbound MSF drivers will be detoured around the area at 82nd Street. Northbound Upland traffic will not have access to the intersection and will need to find an alternate route around the work zone. Southbound Upland will only be able to turn right onto westbound MSF.
The intersection is anticipated to reopen to traffic by 6 a.m. Wednesday. The closure and work will take place weather permitting.
