High pressure is still over the state today, but it will begin to move away by tomorrow & the weekend. We’re still going to see sunny skies this afternoon. The wind will be on the increase from where it was on Tuesday. We’ll see it at 10-15 mph today, trying to help cool things down for the area. Under the high pressure, we’ll see highs in the low 90s this afternoon, with mid 90s off the Caprock.

Autumn begins tomorrow morning at 9:21. Highs will actually begin to fall below 90° for most of the area. The Rolling Plains will see warmer air & high temperatures tomorrow, as they typically do. Lubbock is looking at a sunny afternoon, with wind at 10-15 mph once again. Highs will be in the upper 80s, with low & mid 90s in the Rolling Plains. Overall, it will be a quiet start to Autumn tomorrow.
