The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lubbock will celebrate the National Day For Kids activities at all four Club locations in Lubbock and in Shallowater on Thursday, September 22nd. Boys & Girls Clubs of America felt that there needed to be a day to celebrate kids since there is a Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and a Grandparent’s Day. We want to celebrate Kid’s and to show just how good most of our children truly are. All activities will begin at 4:00 PM and end at 6:00 PM. There will be food for everyone as well as games and activities for all to participate in. All families are welcome!
The Lubbock Boys & Girls Clubs are celebrating its 76th Anniversary this year so we are offering a throw back membership opportunity for families and children that need to come to the club. If a child joins the Club on this day their membership will only cost $5.00 for the entire school year!
Activities at the Clubs will vary but will be similar from the ones at the Shallowater branch such as the following:
- Bingo
- Club members favorite games including Dodgeball, Chaos, Cat n’ Mouse, Jailbreak and more!
- Word search race
- Guitar Hero Teen Tournament
- Lego Building Contest
- Torch Club Snack Shack selling cotton candy and lemonade
- Torch Club will sponsor cookies to each member that brings a guest
- Prizes will be given away for winners throughout the events
