The suspect wanted in connection with an early morning shooting in Plainview has been apprehended.
The shooting occurred around 12:44 a.m. Wednesday at a business in the 800 block of North Columbia, according to news release.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a 40-year-old Hispanic female with a single gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with non-life threatening injuries.
Witnesses told authorities a gray or dark colored vehicle was scene leaving the area following the shooting.
Plainview Police Department’s SWAT team was activated after locating the suspect vehicle on the 900 block of West 26th Street, the released stated.
The suspect was later apprehended and taken to the Hale County Sheriff’s Office.
Police have identified the suspect as Mark Dewayne Hallcy, 43, of Plainview.
Hallcy is charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
