One person was transported to Covenant Medical Center late Friday following a reported stabbing at Southwest Lubbock Apartment.
The incident occurred at the Hunter’s Way Apartment Homes, located at 5550 56th Street, around 10:30 p.m.
Lubbock Police told EverythingLubbock.com the victim and the suspect were with a group of friends inside an apartment.
An argument broke out and the suspect reportedly stabbed the victim with a knife.
The victim was taken to the hospital with a stab wound to the neck. Police said the injuries were non-life threatening.
Zachary Michael Smyser, 21, was arrested by Lubbock Police at the scene and transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center.
Smyser is charged with aggravated assault, according to jail records.
