Most people are off work today, so be sure to enjoy it! We will see increasing clouds this afternoon, but the clouds will mix with the sunshine. The wind will be the big problem today, especially if you’re grilling out. Sustained wind will be at 20-25 mph in the afternoon. Lubbock is going to see a high of 88° today, which is exactly where we should be.
Tomorrow is going to see cloudy skies all day long. The clouds will help to keep the highs lower. We’ll also begin to see isolated showers & thunderstorms move into the area. They will stay at 10% during the day, but brief heavy rain can’t be ruled out with any one of those storms. Highs will drop down into the mid 80s.
