An Odessa mother and her boyfriend both face felony child abuse charges after an 8-month-old boy was taken to Medical Center Hospital with injuries on his arms and legs, police say.
Analiyah Gonzales, 19 and her boyfriend, Roberto Licon Junior, 23, were both arrested Thursday, according to Odesa Police.
Investigators say the boy was brought to Medical Center Hospital with serious injuries. Gonzales and Licon told authorities that the injuries occurred when they tried to keep the boy from falling off the bed. However, investigators say both suspects were unable to explain other injuries that appeared to not be consistent with keeping the child from falling off a bed.
Both suspects were booked into the Ector County Jail.
