By Thursday, we will still be looking at showers & storms in the area as that system begins to depart to the east. Coverage will drop to 30%, but we will be talking about more widely scattered storms. So, the coverage will begin to move east. Lubbock & locations to the east will be in the right areas for those storms. Otherwise, skies will remain cloudy, with a high of 83°.
Friday will see things drying out & warming up. I can’t rule out a stray shower, or storm during the day. Coverage is looking like only 10%, so that is good news for the football games Friday night. You should still take rain gear, in case you are one of the 10% who sees that storm in the evening. Skies will be partly sunny, with a high of 84°.
