Late Goal Helps Texas Tech to 2-2 Draw with Arizona

Texas Tech needed a late goal against Arizona to avoid its first loss of the season.

Junior Rebekah O’Brien scored the equalizer in the 89th minute to help the 16th-ranked Red Raiders (2-0-1) to the 2-2 draw.

Arizona scored first in the first half but the Red Raiders would tie the match up in the 65th minute on freshman Jade King’s second goal of the season.

After two overtime periods, the match ended with a draw.

Texas Tech returns to action against Northeastern University at 7 p.m. Sunday at the John Walker Soccer Complex.
