Lubbock-Cooper ISD will host dedication ceremonies for the collaborative additions at North Elementary and Central Elementary on Sunday, August 21. The collaborative additions, constructed with funds from the district’s 2014 bond package, will be utilized by fourth and fifth grade classes beginning this school year. The collaborative additions include glass nanowalls which breakaway for easy class collaboration, modernized soft seating, innovative technology, and more.
Sunday’s ceremonies will include ribbon cuttings at both locations and tours of the new facilities. Special guests will include district administrators, Board Members, members of the architecture and construction teams who worked on the project, and community leaders.
The dedication of the collaborative addition at North Elementary (3202 108th Street) will begin at 3:00 p.m. The dedication of the collaborative addition at Central Elementary (4020 135th Street) will begin at 4:00 p.m.
