Lubbock Police said Tuesday morning that officers arrested two burglary suspects overnight after one of them was momentarily detained by a resident.  The suspects were identified as Collin Williams, 25, of Lubbock and Bryson Wilbanks, 18, of Idalou.

Police were called after 11:00 pm Monday to the 1200 block of North Quaker Avenue

“The Victims arrived home to discover two unknown subjects inside,” police said. “The subjects had ransacked the residence and removed several items.”

Police said the victims chased the suspects from the residence.  One victim called the police while another chased the suspects.

Police said, “One victim caught and attempted to detain one of the subjects. When that subject acted like he was pulling a weapon from his waist area, the victim feared for his safety and let the subject go.”

Police found two suspects a short time later.

Police said, “All of the assorted items stolen from the victims appear to have been recovered.”

The jail booking sheet indicated that Wilbanks was charged with burglary while Williams was charged burglary, robbery and a prohibited weapon.  The weapon was listed as knuckles – presumably metal knuckled.

Bond amounts were not yet listed for the two suspects get out of jail.
