A Pecos man was killed Friday after his semi-truck was struck by a train in Reeves County.
According to the DPS, the accident occurred on County Road 409, approximately 5 miles west of Pecos, around 5:35 p.m.
Authorities said the semi-truck driver disregarded the railroad crossing warning lights and drove onto the tracks.
The semi-truck was then struck by an oncoming train.
Richard A. Licon, 27, of Pecos, was pronounced dead at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
There were no injuries reported on the train.
