TODAY: We can expect a break from the extreme heat today with high temperatures about 10 degrees cooler throughout the area. However, it will still be warm with highs in the upper 90s. Mostly cloudy skies for your Friday with a few peaks of sun later this afternoon. The chance for severe storms later this afternoon and into the evening hours is yet again in the forecast. Any storms that do develop throughout the South Plains have the potential to produce heavy rain, hail, and gusty winds.

TONIGHT: Storms will linger into the overnight hours with temperatures dropping into the low 70s.

TOMORROW: We’ll see more in the way of sunshine tomorrow and high temperatures in the mid 90s. A few late afternoon/evening storms could pop throughout our area as well.

Have a great weekend!
