City of Lubbock offices will be closed Monday, July 4 in observance of the 4th of July holiday.

Residential
In observance of the 4th of July holiday, there will be no trash collection on Monday, July 4. Monday’s normally scheduled trash dumpster and cart collection will be moved to Tuesday and Tuesday’s normally scheduled trash dumpster collection will be moved to Wednesday. Scheduled trash collection for Thursday, July 7 and Friday, July 8 will not be affected.  

Residents with trash cart collection will receive their scheduled collection on Tuesday, July 5 and Thursday, July 7.  Residents with carts are asked to have their carts out before 7 a.m.   

Recycling
The City of Lubbock drop-off Recycling and Citizen Collection Stations at 1631 84th Street, 208 Municipal Drive, 7308 Milwaukee, and 4307 Adrian will also be closed on Monday, July 4.

Landfill
The West Texas Region Disposal Facility and the Caliche Canyon Landfill will be closed on Monday, July 4.

Libraries
All library locations will be closed on Monday, July 4. Library regular operating hours will be observed during the weekend.

Municipal Museums
Both the Buddy Holly Center and Silent Wings Museum will be closed Monday, as usual. They will operate in their regular hours during the weekend.
