Good evening everyone! It has been another hot day across the South Plains with temperatures sitting in the upper 80’s and low 90’s. We also had a good amount of shower and thunderstorm activity, especially for folks in the southern half of the region. This will continue as we head into the early evening hours so keep your umbrellas handy. furthermore, some of these storms may bring some gusty winds, small hail, and locally heavy rainfall to isolated areas so please drive with caution. Thankfully high pressure takes over the region tomorrow and Thursday and the warming trend will kick into high gear. Temperatures will move into the mid to upper 90’s for the rest of the week and into your holiday weekend. One thing to note – there will be a few isolated storm chances over the holiday weekend. We will keep you advised on exactly what to expect.
